Information technology solutions provider Rolta India today announced the acquisition of Atlanta GA, US-based consulting, development and systems integration firm OneGIS Inc, for an undiscloded sum.

OneGIS has an excellent track record of implementing geospatial and IT solutions and has successfully delivered sophisticated geospatial consulting to infrastructure management markets, including electric, gas and water utilities, telecommunications companies and local and regional governments, Rolta said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).

Rolta has also acquired the company's intellectual property, including the OneView Mobile solution and the GeospatialFusion.

OneView Mobile is a work-focused, asset-centric mobile GIS application that allows field personnel to apply specific work-related actions to help automate their daily work assignments through its unique, user configurable, action framework.

OneView Mobile is already operational in several large utilities and telecoms within the North American market, Rolta said, adding that OneView Mobile will become an integral part of Roltas.

GeospatialFusion, which provides an enterprise-wide solution for spatial viewing, integration and business intelligence, will help in the synchronization of information across disparate systems and enable timely decision making with their field workforce.
