Reliance Industrires' Q4 net up over 14 per cent at Rs5,376 crore

Reliance Industries today reported a 14.14 per cent increase in is fiscal fourth quarter (January-March 2011) net profit at Rs5,376 crore against Rs4,710 crore during the comparable quarter of the previous financial year.

For the 2010-11 financial year ended 31 March, RIL reported a 25 per cent increase in net profit at Rs20,286 crore against Rs16,236 crore in the previous financial year.

The board of directors of Reliance Industries Ltd, at its meeting today, inter alia, recommended a dividend of Rs 8 per fully paid-up equity share of Rs10 each.

The dividend on approval by shareholders at RIL's 37th annual general meeting, scheduled to be held on 3 June 2011, will be credited / dispatched between 4 June 2011 and 9 June  2011, RIL said in a release.

Gross turnover of the company rose to Rs75,283 during the quarter ended 31 March 2011 from Rs60,267 during the similar quarter of the previous financial year. The company reported a net turnover of Rs72,674 crore for the January-March 2011 quarter against Rs57,570 crore for the previous-year quarter.

Turnover for the financial year 2010-11 stood at Rs258,651 crore against Rs200,400 crore in the previous financial year. Net turnover for the year 2010-11 stood at Rs248,170 crore against Rs192,461 crore during the previous financial year.
