Reliance Capital approves special 50 % dividend to mark silver jubilee

The Reliance Capital board today approved a special 50-per cent dividend to shareholders on the completion of 25 years of the financial services from the business that is now an arm of the Anil Ambani group.

''The board of directors of the company met today and approved a special interim dividend of 50 per cent,'' Reliance Capital said in a BSE filing.

The special interim dividend would be paid to the company's shareholders on or before 10 October, 2012, according to the company. This would be in addition to the 75 per cent dividend already paid.

Anil Ambani, the R-Cap chairman, had announced in the AGM recently that the Reliance board would be consider a special interim dividend.

The company's shares were trading flat at Rs337.10 in late afternoon trade on the BSE.
