Mumbai: Patni Computer Systems Ltd., India''s 6th largest IT services company, today announced that it has been ranked amongst the ''10 best companies to work for in India'' in a study conducted by Business Today-Mercer survey.

Mercer is an international HR consulting firm, which worked with international market research firm, TNS, and surveyed companies across 14 different industry groups to arrive at the rankings. All the companies were evaluated in four key areas — employee perception, HR processes and policies, HR metrics and stakeholder perception.

According to Nitin Dheer, senior consultant, Mercer Human Resource Consulting, "Mercer was responsible for the design and analysis of the results, which was done on a no-name basis to pre-empt any situations of bias or consultant client conflict. TNS took care of actual client interface. This ensured that the survey results were completely neutral and reflective of the actual caliber of the company."

Patni employs more than 9,000 people across the Americas, Europe and Asia-Pacific. Says Milind Jadhav, senior VP, Patni, "We have people-centric policies to identify and nurture our employees. The basis of our HR policy is to groom our employees into leaders for accelerated personal and organisational growth. This ranking demonstrates the commitment and emphasis we place on attracting and retaining the finest talent in India."
