Patni Computers signs deal with BITS Pilani

Pune: Patni Computer Systems Limited has signed an agreement with the Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani, to offer educational programmes to the company's employees. The courses will be offered through the 'BITS Off-Campus Distance Learning & Collaborative Programmes' scheme.

Starting April 2004, BITS will operate an off-campus centre at Patni, initially at its Mumbai and Pune facilities, and later at other Patni centers. The employees admitted to the BITS Programme under this collaborative arrangement, will be treated as BITS students.

Enrolment to the programme will be open to all employees. Patni will be involved in providing corporate and financial support to selected employees to participate in the programme.
