Panasonic launches Toughbook models in India

Panasonic Systems Asia Pacific today introduced five new laptop models namely CF-S9, CF-F9, CF-C1, CF-19, CF-31, designed for high durability.

According to See, general manager, Toughbook, Asia Group, "Users will benefit from a combination of performance, easy remote access and security without sacrificing battery life. The devices can withstand vibration, drops, spills, extreme temperature and other rough handling."

The new business models can withstand drops from heights of up to 76cms or 30 cm from 26 different angles, and are equipped with water-protected keyboards and touchpads.

The laptops all feature Intel coreT i5 vProT processor, turbo boost technology and shock mounted flex connect hard drive with quick release. Optional Gobi2000 and WiMAX connectivity is also available on business rugged models, CF-S9, CF-F9 and CF-C1.

Toughbooks come with a three-year limited warranty.

Full rugged models are priced between Rs1.58 lakh and Rs2.12 lakh while the business rugged models are available at Rs1.49 lakh to Rs1.57lakh.

Panasonic Systems Asia Pacific is the regional headquarters for integrated systems solutions. Its products include professional AV, digital signage, broadcast equipment, office document and communication equipment, security systems and the Toughbook.
