Two films by Percept to be screened at the 33rd Toronto film festival

Two films produced by Percept Picture Company will be screened a the 33rd Toronto film festival. Director Priyadarshan's period drama Kanchivaram and Nandita Das's Firaaq have been invited to film festival, which will be held from 4-13 September.

Kanchivaram has been chosen for the 'special presentation: world premiere category', while Firaaq will be part of the Contemporary World Cinema World Premiere slot.

Only two Indian films have been selected by the festival.  This is the first time that Priyadarshan's film will have a world premiere at an international film festival. It is his 25th year in the industry and the 75th film.
