New Delhi: PepsiCo India Holdings has announced that Vivek Bharati, economist and external affairs expert would succeed Abhiram Seth as the company's executive director for external affairs and exports, starting February.

Bharati has reportedly already joined PepsiCo India, and will wait to officially occupy the office once Seth retires in February.

Seth has led the external affairs and exports functions since 2002, and is scheduled to retire after a 15 year stint with the company. Under Seth's tutelage, PepsiCo India has created backward linkages with farmers for the sourcing of raw materials for processing, and the company's contract farming model.
