ISO certification for ONGC plant

Hyderabad: The Oil and Natural Gas Corporation's (ONGC) Tatipaka complex in the East Godavari district, consisting of two units — GCS & mini refinery, has achieved ISO 18001 OHSAS (Occupational Health System) certification from DNV, Denmark.

Tatipaka mini refinery, the first of its kind in the country, is a skid- mounted relocatable unit.

The plant recently completed three years of operations producing the highest quality of products matching international standards said a company press release.

Naptha is being taken by Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) for supplies to Nagarjuna Fertilisers and Chemicals Ltd (NFCL) for fertiliser production. LSHS is picked up by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) for fuel purpose. HSD partly consumed by ONGC's own drilling rigs in Rajahmundry and Karaikal and partly supplied to HPCL, IOC & BPCL. SKO is supplied to HPCL and IOC for PDS supply.
