Nokia offers Gift-A-Tone service

New Delhi: Nokia today announced the launch of its special service Gift-a-Tone for its customers.

With an objective to applaud the festive mood of people, Gift-a-Tone will allow Nokia mobile phone users to gift innovative ring tones, picture messages and screen icons to their family and friends. This service will be available to Hutch, Orange, AirTel and BPL mobile subscribers.

Gift-a-Tone will enable Nokia mobile phone users to SMS ring tones, picture messages and operator logos of their choice to their friends using a short code of 5555. This facility is available on both on web and SMS space. Further more from the web site, users can also gift ring tones online up to 10 friends at a time. The customers can gift the ring tones, picture messages and screen icons from their handsets as well through simple procedure as mentioned.

Type "gift<space>Keyword<space>mobile no" and send to 5555, the content will be gifted to the number with a thank you message "this ring tone is gifted to you by 98xxxxxxxx." The sender will get a delivery report as soon as the ring tone is delivered. The service will be available at a nominal cost of Rs 10 for monophonic ring tones and Rs 15.90 for a polyphonic downloads. This unique offer will be valid till 5 November 2003.
