Nokia launches E71 and E66 in India

Mumbai: Mobile phone manufacturer, Nokia India, today, launched two new Eseries handsets, the Nokia E71 and Nokia E66 models. The phones have been equipped with  applications suitable for business purposes.

The phones can also download attachments like Word, Excel, Powerpoint or PDF files directly and also support third party email solutions like Seven and Visto. The E71 also enables users to edit MS Office documents.

The E66 slider-phone sports unique additions such as orientation sensor that automatically optimises itself for full screen viewing or activates the silent mode when the device is turned over.

The phones support maps, music and media sharing like HSDPA browsing, wireless LAN and 3G connectivity, Quad-band GSM 850/900/1800/1900, Bluetooth 2.0, automatic switching between GSM bands and Nokia Mobile Search option. Both handset models have with 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera, FM radio, music player, assisted GPS (A-GPS), 8 GB external memory, 110 MB internal dynamic memory, mobile VPN support and Nokia Maps for navigation.

The E71 is priced at Rs22,949 while the E66 will be available forRs23,689.

Speaking on the launch of the new Es eries models Devinder Kishore, director-marketing, Nokia said, "The newly launched NokiaE71 and E66 are designed to enhance the way we work and increase productivity in our daily lives. They are meant for people who lead a mobile lifestyle and want quick and easy access to their personal and work email. With both of these devices,we have responded to consumer feedback by making calender and contacts available at the touch of a button."
