NIIT Ltd, a global talent development company and Asia's largest IT trainer, proposes to set up 100 one-stop career building centres for students and professionals, including IT, across the country.

`NIIT One World', the new concept, aims to synergise NIIT's cross domain training expertise under one roof, the company said in a stock market filing.

NIIT today announced the launch of its first `NIIT One World Centre' at Coimbatore.

NIIT One World will serve as a one-stop destination for providing training to students and professionals across multiple domains, such as information technology, including ERP systems, banking and finance, management and business process outsourcing.

The NIIT One World Centre at Coimbatore is the first of many centres that NIIT will establish in the coming years.

"NIIT One World aims to synchronise NIIT's cross domain training expertise with a proven training experience of three decades, allowing career aspirants augment their formal education with career-oriented training," NIIT said in its stock market filing.

"NIIT One World Centre will enable students to take a more informed decision on their career choosing from various options available," it added.

NIIT One World centres will be equipped with state-of-the-art advanced labs and infrastructure to enable hands-on practice, collaborative learning and comprehensive job-readiness.

Under IT training, the courses on offer include the flagship GNIIT programme, the Edgeineers series of short-term technology courses and Global Net Plus programmes in the networking domain.
