Megasoft gets CMM Level 4

Chennai: The city-based Megasoft India, a software services company, has been assessed at Level 4 in the Capability Maturity Model (CMM) of the Software Engineering Institute (SEI).

The assessment was carried out by Quality Registrars of KPMG at Megasoft India-based development centre in Chennai; the scope of the assessment being ''Development and Maintenance of Software Solutions covering Legacy, Client-server, Internet, Enterprise and Emerging Technologies.''

The CMM is widely regarded as the best means to measure the quality and maturity of an organisation''s software development and maintenance processes.

The Level 4 CMM assessment signifies that Megasoft has a well-defined and measured process for developing and maintaining software solutions that is integrated into its management processes.
