Maruti Udyog announces Rs 50-cr bonanza for customers

Chennai: It is a new year bonanza for Maruti car buyers. In a bid to shore up its market share further in the passenger car segment, Maruti Udyog has announced hefty cash prizes and hundreds of freebies to those who buy its cars between 3 January and 28 February 2003.

Buyers of Maruti car during this period can participate in a lucky dip by entering in the chassis number and model name of their car and answering a simple question in a computerised system available at the dealers. The system will immediately pop up the prize that each customer is entitled to.

The campaign, named as Change Your Life, offers the following prizes:

  • Two cash prizes of Rs 21 lakh each
  • Two cash prizes of Rs 11 lakh each
  • 2030 gift vouchers, each worth between Rs 5,000 and Rs 1 lakh, for LG Digital Home White Goods and an assured gift for every customer

Maruti has also decided to offer first year insurance for Re 1 on Omni, WagonR, Zen, Alto and Esteem models. The company expects to spend about Rs 50 crore on the entire Change Your Life campaign.
