Microsoft launches SideWinder gaming keyboard and mouse

Microsoft has introduced two new computer accessories - the SideWinder X6 keyboard and the SideWinder X5 mouse.
SideWinder X6 keyboard is versatile gaming keyboard with a switchable key pad. It can be attached to either side of the keyboard for flexibility. Microsoft feels that the switchable key pad is ideal for productivity and gaming. The key pad functions as a standard num pad in normal keyboard mode, which becomes a macro pad in a game mode.
The keyboard has features that are specifically designed for gaming, which include, having a capacity to store up to 90 macros per game and backlighting thats helps the user to get immersed in the game.
Gamers can instantly switch from Microsoft Office Excel to their favourite game and place the macro pad on whichever side (left or right) they prefer for gaming. Mode switching allows the user to toggle between standard mode and two other gaming modes. Profile switching detects the running application and applies the custom profile.The keyboard is a gamers delight with new cruise control feature which continues an action without having to hold down the key or keys assigned to the action.
In-game macro record button lets gamers record any sequence of keystrokes which are stored on the PC hard drive and can be easily shared. WASD gaming keys have front-face lighting for enhanced visibility. Quick-Launch key, allows gamers to quickly see the games in their PC's game library.
The red backlighting indicates standard keys that are not programmed, while the amber color indicates custom-programmed macro keys in game mode for fine tune gaming experience.
The SideWinder X5 Mouse is a nine button gaming mouse. This mouse has an adjustable sensitivity, five customisable buttons, and a quick-launch button that instantly launches the Windows Vista games explorer.
Microsoft Corporation has priced the SideWinder X6 keyboard for $ $79.95 and the SideWinder X5 comes for $59.95. Both products are backed with a warranty of three years.
