M&M launches premium pick-up Imperio with price tag of Rs6.25 lakh

Utility vehicle manufacturer Mahindra and Mahindra today launched its new small commercial vehicle (SCV), Mahindra Imperio, priced in the range of Rs6.25 lakh to Rs7.27 lakh (ex-showroom).

ImperioThe new Imperio, which replaces the ageing Mahindra Genio in the Indian commercial vehicle market, comes in both single cabin and double cabin options, offered in the base variant and the top-of-the line VX variant.

Essentially a premium facelift of the Mahindra Genio, the Imperio promises to provide a high end product experience in its segment of small commercial vehicles. Moreover, according to Mahindra, the new Imperio premium pick-up truck has been designed to offer best-in-class style, performance and driving comfort.

The new Imperio has a premium style, SUV stance and bold road presence. With its aerodynamically designed exterior look, new age headlamps, aggressive bumper, 16 inch (40.64 cm) radial tyres and metallic colours, it is all set to take the take pick-up segment to newer heights.

The new Imperio comes with a payload capacity of 1240kg along tubeless tyres wrapped around 16-inch wheels. It also comes with of Fuel Smart technology, brakes with LSPV and telematic compatibility. Besides the tested and proven DI engine with common rail technology which delivers 75 HP power (56 kW), 220 Nm torque (pulling power) and mileage of 13.55km/litre.

Besides, the Imperio is unmatched in terms of its head-turning style, performance, best in class safety and comfort features thereby providing an enhanced driving experience to customers.

The Mahindra Imperio premium pickup truck is the carmaker's first product for 2016 and the eighth for the 2015-16 fiscal.
