Mahindra, CA Technologies to set up joint research centre

Mahindra Satyam and Tech Mahindra plan to set up a joint research centre with CA Technologies, in Pune, and an agreement to the effect was signed today.

The centre will initially employ 70, who will work to find solutions in areas such as cloud and telecom.

The global framework agreement calls for building a business model to offer shared and managed services to customers, according to CP Gurnani, chief executive officer designate of Mahindra Satyam-Tech Mahindra. He was speaking at a press conference in Pune today.

"We have been working together for the last three years. The pact will help in opening up new business opportunities,'' he said.

CA Technologies, is a global IT management and security software and solutions company.

William McCracken, CA Technologies chief executive officer and Gurnani jointly launched the centre, which would focus on solutions in areas such as cloud and telecom.
