LG Unveils Worlds Slimmest TV

Mumbai: LGEIL consumer electronics major has introduced the LG Super Slim TV in India, claimed to be the world's slimmest flat cathode ray tube (CRT) TV. Its picture tube, claims a company communiqué, makes the TV 20 per cent slimmer compared to other flat TV colour picture tubes because of its 110º deflection angle and other technologically enhanced features.

C M Singh, head of consumer electronics and GSM, LGEIL said that the company plans to target 2-lakh units of 'Super Slim' by the end of this year. LG has currently introduced the model in 21" category. The 29" category will be introduced in Q2 '05. These products will be available at Rs 16,990/- onwards.

 LG Electronics India Pvt. Ltd., established in January 1997, is one of the youngest consumer durable brands in the country, holding a 26 per cent share of the market in CTVs.
