Lupin’s Q3 net rises nearly 5 per cent to Rs235 crore

Lupin Ltd has reported a 4.95 per cent year-on-year increase in its fiscal third quarter (October-December 2011-12) consolidated net profit to Rs235.1 crore.

The company had made a net profit of Rs224 crore during the corresponding period of the previous financial year.

Net sales of the company during the quarter were up 21.9 per cent at Rs1,791.7 crore, compared to Rs1,469.4 crore in the comparable period of the previous financial year.

Total income for the quarter ended 31 December 2011 stood at Rs1,822.24 crore against Rs1,513.60 crore during the quarter ended 31 December 2010.

Lupin's standalone net profit during the quarter, however, was lower at Rs214.61 crore against Rs246.42 crore in the third quarter of the previous financial year.

Total standalone income stood higher at Rs1,406.85 crore during the quarter ended 31 December 2011, against Rs1,206.42 crore during the quarter ended 31 December 2010.
