Kvaerner to take on engineering of PTA plant of IOC for L&T

Mumbai: Aker Kvaerner UK and Kvaerner Powergas India (KPGI) will provide residual basic engineering and the full range of detail design engineering and related project services to Larsen & Toubro for the proposed 553,000 TPA capacity PTA plant of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) at Panipat, Haryana.

Aker Kvaerner is one of the two E&C companies in the world accredited by Dupont to design and engineer PTA plants using Dupont’s proprietary technology. This is the third PTA plant in India to be engineered by Aker Kvaerner & KPGI. The other two plants were for Reliance at Hazira.

The entire design engineering will be executed by using state of the art 3D PDMS. KPGI has engineered more than 30 projects worldwide using 3D PDMS for Global Companies including Dupont, Dow, Conoco, BASF, Lyondell and Sasol in USA, Europe, Syria, Malaysia and South Africa.
