Kashmir-Kanyakumari rally : Kinetic Nova gives 65.79 kmpl

Chennai: The Kinetic Nova, the fast-selling scooter model from Kinetic Motor Company, which participated in the Kashmir to Kanyakumari rally, came to an end covering a distance of 3, 967 kilometres.

The rally was organised to test the model's endurance and fuel-efficiency, and student riders based in Pune rode the vehicles. According to the company, the vehicles clocked an average mileage of 65.79 kilometre per litre.

Dilip Bam, an auto journalist, accompanied the riders through their journey to provide independent assessment of the rally results. The journey began at Patnitop in Jammu and Kashmir and passed through the route, covering Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu.

The route comprised varied terrain - from snowy mountains, rural roads to city traffic conditions. Bam says the mileage obtained is commendable for any automatic scooter and the rally was completed without any breakdowns or even punctures.
