Kingfisher Airlines to launch same day cargo delivery service, Kingfisher Xpress

Kingfisher Airlines today announced the launch of its same day door-to-door cargo delivery service under the banner of Kingfisher Xpress.
Kingfisher Xpress is scheduled to introduce its services on 2 February 2010.
The promise of the Kingfisher Xpress Same Day service is that shipments will be picked up from the customer's doorstep and delivered at the recipient's doorstep on the same day.
According to Kingfisher, Kingfisher Xpress Same Day service will be India's first and only same day delivery by air service, with a money-back guarantee.
This service will offer a pick up facility in six main metros - Mumbai, New Delhi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Kolkata with guaranteed same day delivery in up to 18 cities.
These cities include Bagdogra, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Delhi, Kochi, Goa, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Kolkata, Mumbai, Raipur, Ranchi, Lucknow, Nagpur, Pune and Srinagar.
Commenting on the launch of this market-first from Kingfisher Airlines, Prakash Mirpuri, vice president, corporate communications, said, ''Kingfisher Xpress has been conceived with a view to serving the unmet needs of users who are looking for a solution which ensures that their shipment reaches the recipient's doorstep on the very same day. Our confidence in this service reflects in our money back guarantee. Kingfisher Xpress will also offer a next-day delivery service across 20 cities in India''.
Other flexible shipping options to be provided by Kingfisher Xpress will include:
- Door to Airport (DTA) service offering pick up of shipments from the shipper's door step and delivery at the destination airport, to the authorised representative of the shipper.
- Airport to Door (ATD) service providing flexibility of delivering the shipment at the nearest airport of the shipper's choice and requesting for a door delivery at the destination across Kingfisher Xpress network
- Counter to Counter (CTC) service, designed for addressing the needs of shipper who can also deliver their shipments to the nearest Kingfisher Xpress centre in the originating city and arranging for their representative to pick-up the shipment from the Kingfisher Xpress centre at the destination city.
