3i Infotech Ltd has announced the signing of a multi-million dollar order from Hong Leong Bank (HLB) for its 'Triton loan origination' application software. Triton will be used by HLB on license from 3i Infotech for its lending business comprising mortgage, auto loans, corporate loans and share margin financing across both its conventional and Islamic banking businesses.

Completely web-enabled, Triton uses J2EE framework, integrating across various feed systems, technology platforms of HLB, and is deployed using IBM Websphere and powered by the IBM eServer xSeries.

"We are working towards transferring the necessary technological knowledge to HLB product champions and IT staff to enable HLB to independently maintain and support the system in the future," says Debneel Mukherjee, president, Asia Pacific, 3i Infotech.
