HPCL Q4 net profit at Rs 4,249 million

Mumbai: Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) has posted a net profit of Rs 4,249.01 million for the quarter ended 31 March 2002 as compared to a net profit of Rs 3,264.82 million for the corresponding period last fiscal.

The total income has decreased from Rs 1,27,921.03 million in MQ01 to Rs 1,10,506.21 million in MQ02. The company has posted a net profit of Rs 7,879.75 million for the financial year ended 31 March 2002 as compared to Rs 10,880.08 million for the corresponding period last fiscal.

The total income has decreased from Rs 4,89,668.29 million in FY01 to Rs 4,47,088.22 million in FY02. The board has recommended a dividend of 100 per cent (Rs 10 per share).

The current quarter profit before tax is higher than the corresponding quarter in the previous year due to higher refining margins and the settlement of dues by Oil Coordination Committee.
