Honda cars register 38 per cent growth in sales in May

New Delhi: Honda Siel Cars India Ltd has reported a 37.8 per cent increase in sales volume for May 2005. The company sold 3,514 vehicles during the month as against 2,549 units sold during the same month of the previous financial year.

According to the company, during the calendar year 2005, each of the models from the HSCI has shown a significant growth during the period Jan-May. While Honda City's sales grew by 29 per cent, Accord's sales grew by 7 per cent and Honda CR-V by 22 per cent.

The cumulative sales for the calendar year 2005 (January-May), registered a jump of 27.09 per cent, from 14,005 cars during January-May 2004 to 17,799 units during January-May 2005.
