Honda Siel Achieves Sales of 5000+ Units in a Single Month

New Delhi: Honda Siel Cars India Ltd, sold a record 5,154 units during March 2005, exceeding its target of 5,000 units in the premium segment. With this, the company has bettered all its past records, including the previous highest sales of 3,784 units in January 2005. Additionally, March 2005 sales are up by a significant 60 per cent as compared with the corresponding month in 2003-04.

March 2005 also saw the company register the highest-ever sales for both its premium sedans - the City as well as the Accord. The Honda City touched an astonishing high of 4,436 units during the month, significantly higher than the previous highest sales of 3,204 units achieved in January 2005. The luxury sedan Honda Accord also sold an all-time high of 401 units during the month, while Honda CR-V achieved sales of 317 units.

Commenting on the company's performance, Rajive Saharia, DGM, marketing, Honda Siel Cars India Ltd, said, "Our performance last month and in fact, during the entire year, has been really encouraging, with each of our models performing brilliantly. This, we believe, is the result of the emphasis laid at Honda on providing highest levels of customer satisfaction. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank all our customers for their growing confidence in us. We are confident that we would continue this performance in the new financial year as well, by offering increasing value to our customers."

With the FY ending, the cumulative sales for the year have also registered a splendid increase of 73 per cent. The company sold a total of 37,480 cars during the year, a magnificent increase from 21,703 cars in the previous FY (2003-04).

Individually, each HSCI model recorded impressive growth during the year. While City witnessed a sales growth of 78 per cent as compared with the previous financial year, the Accord and the CR-V have further strengthened their leadership position by recording a growth of 46 per cent and 37 per cent respectively.
