Hero MotoCorp Q2 net falls over 27 per cent to Rs440.58 crore

Two-wheeler maker Hero MotoCorp has reported 27.01 per cent decline in its net profit for fiscal second quarter ended 30 September at Rs440.58 crore against Rs603.62 crore in the comparable quarter of the previous fiscal.
The two-wheeler maker had reported a net profit of Rs615.46 crore for the previous quarter (April-June 2012).
Net income of the company during the second quarter this fiscal stood at Rs5,187.46 crore, down 10.96 per cent from Rs5,826.15 crore in the corresponding period last year.
Gross revenue during the quarter fell 10.96 per cent to Rs5,188 crore from Rs5,826 crore in the year-ago quarter.
Hero MotoCorp had reported total sales of Rs6207.78 crore during the April-June 2012 quarter.
Earnings before interest, depreciation, taxes and amortisation (EBIDTA) for the quarter stood at 13.86 per cent, the company said in a filing with the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
