Hyundai opens ‘EON’ bookings

New Delhi: Hyundai Motors today said that bookings for its new compact car, Eon, due to be launched soon, would commence from 1 October.
Eon, which means eternity, will be manufactured in India at Hyundai Motor India's manufacturing facility located at Sriperumbudur near Chennai.
The Eon will bear Hyundai's latest design philosophy of 'Fluidic Sculpture', the company said in a statement.
"Eon has design elements and features that have been specifically developed for Indian conditions," it said.
The car is targeted at first time buyers who want to buy a spacious and stylish car with high fuel economy.
Hyundai says its R&D team worked closely with the Indian R&D unit in Hyderabad to develop the Eon in order to understand the specific needs of small car buyers in India
