Honda Grazia, has launched its 'advanced urban scooter', with a price tag of Rs 57,897 (ex-showroom Delhi). The new offering from Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India will be the company's next flagship scooter in India after Honda Activa 125.

Honda Activa has been among the best sellers for the company and the Honda Grazia is also based on the same Honda Activa but gets a new design, specially built to attract youngsters. According to commentators, the popularity of the segment has been rising in tier-2 cities since the launch of the original Activa in 2000.

Honda Grazia which resembles the Honda Activa in some aspects runs on the same 124.9 cc fan-cooled, 4-stroke engine that drives the Honda Activa 125. The engine generates 8.52 bhp of maximum power and 10.54 Nm of max torque.

The engine is coupled with a CVT automatic gearbox and the power train can take Grazia to a top speed of 85 kmph, according to the official spec list.

The Honda Grazia features black alloy wheels measuring 12-inch in the front and 10-inch in the rear with tubeless tyres on both of them. The front wheel features an optional disc brake. Honda Grazia also comes with Combi Brake System (CBS) which distributes the brake force equally between the front and the rear brake when the lever for the rear brake is pressed.

Commenting on the launch, Yadvinder Singh Guleria, senior vice president - Sales and Marketing, HMSI, said that Honda which is the market leader in automatic scooters has raised the bar further with Grazia - 'Honda's next big step of innovation in scooters,' The Times of India reported.

"Get ready to see the world in a new light with a bright LED headlamp. Many other segment-leading features make Grazia the most advanced urban scooter with great styling and unparalleled convenience," he added.
