Mumbai: General Motors India has announced a special promotional price of Rs 4.86 lakh , about Rs 36,000 less on the Opel Corsa notchback model as a festive bonus to customers.

"After tasting success with Optra and Tavera, there is now renewed focus on Opel Corsa to provide fillip to further improve Corsa sales. This attractive offer will reposition Corsa below the Rs 5 lakh category making it affordable to young professionals,'' said Aditya Vij, president and managing director, General Motors India.

. "Although the special price would bring our margins under pressure, this is GM's way of rewarding our valued customer. GM has chosen to bring this about by institutionalisation and rationalisation of sales promotion incentives and passing on the benefit to the customer, " Vij said.
