Genpact April-June net income soars 20 per cent to $29.7 million

Genpact Limited, a global leader in technology-based services and business processes manger for companies around the world, today reported a 20 per cent jump in its second quarter (April-June) 2009 standalone net income at $29.7 million against $24.8 million in the second quarter of 2008.

Net income margin for the second quarter of 2009 was 10.9 per cent, against 9.8 per cent in the second quarter of 2008.

Revenues in the second quarter were up eight per cent at $272.9 million, against $253.6 million in the second quarter of 2008.

Diluted earnings per common share attributable to Genpact Limited common shareholders were $0.14, up from $0.11 per share in the second quarter of 2008.

Adjusted income from operations increased 16 per cent to $48.4 million, compared to $41.8 million in the second quarter of 2008.

Adjusted income from operations margin was 17.7 per cent, up from 16.5 per cent in the second quarter of 2008.
