Mat Granryd is new MD of Ericsson India

New Delhi: Ericsson has announced the appointment of Mats Granryd as head of market unit, India and Sri Lanka and managing director of Ericsson India Pvt Ltd. Granryd replaces Jan Campbell who moves on to head the company's central European operations.

As the overall head for the company's operations in India and Sri Lanka, Granryd will be responsible for supporting operators in the region. Granryd was earlier president of the Ericsson Mobile Systems, CDMA Business Unit in San Diego, US.

Commenting on his appointment, Carl-Henric Svanberg, president and CEO of Ericsson Worldwide operations, said, " Mats Granryd brings a wealth of commercial and management experience that has already added value to our operations.

"His appointment further reinforces our focus to the growing markets in the region and I am confident that Ericsson will gain from his vast experience and expertise in the telecom industry."
