Data Access' founder and managing director, Siddhartha Ray, and Craig Walker, president and CEO, Dialpad, signed the agreement today in Washington, DC.

Key highlights of the service:

  • Multiple gateways
  • Robust network
  • Post paid billing
  • Under this agreement, Data Access will offer Internet telephony services to all its corporate and enterprise customers in India using Dialpad's voice-over-IP (VoIP) platform.

Data Access will also offer its Indian ISP customers the ability to add Dialpad's Internet telephony services to their IP offering and subsequently generate additional revenue per user. Together, Dialpad and Data Access are focused on providing Indian corporate and enterprise consumers with affordable, high-quality, IP-based ILD services.

"The ever-growing communication needs of our customers have been the key driving factor behind our decision to offer Internet telephony service. We are committed to the philosophy of making global telecommunications affordable. We are the second largest ISP in India and one of the largest players in ILD services. Our partnership with Dialpad will bring in added advantages, which our subscribers will definitely appreciate," says Ray.

"Data Access is a natural partner for us," says Walker. "They provide over 50 per cent of the bandwidth requirements for ISPs in India and are committed to providing their customers with all the benefits of Internet telephony. By working together, we can provide the Indian consumer with the highest quality IP telephony services available.
