Cholamandalam MS ties up with Assicurazioni Generali SpA

Chennai: The city based private non life insurer Cholamandalam MS General Insurance Company Limited (Chola-MS), has reached an agreement with Assicurazioni Generali SpA to be the exclusive health and accident insurance partner of the Generali Employee Benefits Network (GEB) in India.

In this first of its kind partnership, GEB and Chola MS will jointly market the Chola MS health and accident insurance products to prospective multinational clients that are part of the GEB network in India.

In a press communiqué, Arun Agarwal, managing director, Chola MS said, "We are constantly looking at sustainable partnerships that will enable us to cater to the growing demands of our customers and believe that this liaison with Generali will bring considerable quality and value in terms of greater reach and enhanced business opportunities with multi national customers in India".

According to Sergio D'Caro, CEO Asia Pacific, Generali Group, "India is an important market for us, since a large number of our multinational clients are setting up operations here and expect the same level of service here as anywhere else in the world. With the mandate to provide world-class services to the Indian operations of the multinationals, after a thorough study of the Indian insurance market we have zeroed in on Chola MS as the non-life partner of choice."
