Chennai: Canon India, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canon Singapore, which sells photocopiers, fax machines, printers, scanners and multi-functional peripherals, has opened its 100th service centre in India.

The company achieved this landmark by opening an exclusive Canon Care Point at Impackt Business Machines, Chennai. Canon has three exclusive service centres in Chennai, a market it considers important.

In July this year, Canon launched an aggressive campaign to create 100 service centres across India by the end of the year. As part of this strategy, the company had decided to open service centres in all the major metros and information technology (IT) markets in India with the end-objective of being closer to its customers.

The company is well on course to achieve this objective, as it has already commissioned Customer Service Centres at IT Hubs in three of the four metros (Nehru Place, Delhi; SP Road, Bangalore; Richie Street, Chennai).
