Brother launches special offer on laser products

Japanese electronic and imaging company, Brother International is enhancing focus in India with a bouquet of products in MFC, Laser Printers, faxes set for launch over the year. Brother International has launched a special offer on the select laser products providing the end customers with a free additional toner on purchase on 5-in-1 Laser MFC 7420 and entry-level laser printer HL 2040. The offer, valid till June 30, 2006, is a major initiative after the India Strategy Meet held at Dubai for the national channel partners.

All that a customer needs to do is to buy a Brother Laser Flatbed MFC 7420 or HL 2040 before June 30, 2006, and get a regular (high yield) TN 2025 toner free, resulting in saving for the end customer between 13 and 30 per cent. The company plans to aggressively promote the offer through multi-channel promotions utilising above-the-line and below-the-line methods.

"Being the only company that provides onsite warranty, we want to leverage the successes of our earlier models, and penetrate the market further," says Vishal Sriwastav, country manager, Brother International (India). "We are strategically offering a laser MFC targeted as a workhorse, and the laser printer that is targeted at the SOHO segment. We are confident that these will more than meet the customers' expectations."

With a combination of high-quality laser printing, flatbed copying, full-feature fax and colour scanning in one product, the MFC-7420, the company says it is the perfect laser all in one for home office or small-to-medium size business. Its flatbed design lends itself to convenient scanning or copying and enables one to place originals on the document glass or through the convenient automatic document feeder.

The HL2040 Mono Laser Printer features speeds of up to 20 ppm, print quality of up to 2400 x 600 dpi, 8MB of standard memory and 250-sheet paper capacity. For network connectivity, an optional external Ethernet or optional external 802.11b wireless print servers are available.

Brother has already unveiled the full range of global product portfolio and has alliances with Godrej & Boyce as its national distributor and Accel ICIM as the third party service provider. Lipi Data System is the national corporate partner and Kores distributes P-Touch printers.
