The side profile of the i8 comes with a similar aerodynamic theme and sports a sleeker look with swoops and cuts, while the floating roof design at the rear gives it look more intriguing.

The powertrain of the vehicle combines a 1,499cc 3-cylinder petrol engine and a powerful lithium-ion battery-powered electric motor.

BMW i8 comes features an aluminium chassis with a double-wishbone front axle and five-link rear axle to offer the best combination for both sportscar dynamics and a luxurious ride.

The engine and battery pack are placed as low as possible to improve the centre-of-gravity of the car.
