BHEL wins NTPC contracts worth Rs 2700 crores

New Delhi: Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (BHEL) has secured major contracts cumulatively worth over Rs 2,700 crore from National Thermal Power Corporation for setting up three projects with a combined power generating capacity of 1710 MW.

The three projects are the Sipat super thermal power project (STPP) stage-II (2x500 MW), the Kahalgaon STPP stage-II phase-II (1x500 MW) and the Feroze Gandhi Unchahar thermal power project stage-III (1x210 MW).

These contracts, according to a BHEL press statement here, will go a long way in augmenting the country's capacity addition programme in the Tenth Plan.
