Bajaj Auto Q1 net rises 32%

Mumbai: Bajaj Auto registered a 32-per cent increase in its net profit for the quarter ended June 2003.

The company's net profit was Rs 161.03 crore in this quarter compared to Rs 121.06 crore in the previous quarter.

The company's total income was at Rs 1,317.51 crore (Rs 1245.75) — an increase of about 6 per cent.

The jump in the net profit was mainly on account of other income, which increased to Rs 101.69 crore from Rs 34.55 crore. These included dividends and profits on sale of investments.
