Bata India Limited, the country's leading footwear retailer and manufacturer, today launched its new store in South Delhi, its 59th in the National Capital region (NCR).

Spread over 3,000 sq feet in DLF Place Mall Saket, one of the premium and busiest shopping malls in the city, the store offers a complete range of footwear and accessories like handbags and belts.

The new Bata store, made as per Bata's global format, will offer an enjoyable shopping experience in an aesthetically designed ambience with attentive, friendly and trained staff, the company said in a release.

"We are pleased to offer our customers yet another store in one of the premium and busiest shopping malls of the city. Our objective is to make shoe shopping a pleasurable affair for our consumers," Marcelo Villagran, managing director of Bata India Limited, said while inaugurating the store.

Bata India plans to expand its retail chain, by adding 70 new stores this year in the same global format.

"Today's consumer has multiple footwear needs for specific purposes, like dress, sports, outdoor, comfort, party, sports casual etc. Our updated and improvised shoe line is now better segmented to adapt to the ever changing needs of the consumers," he said.

These new format stores offer a large variety of shoes for men, women and children. Bata offers stylish and chic shoes for the women in charge, both while they work in the office, and go out for a party. Whilst Marie Claire caters to the fashion needs, Comfit and Scholl provide footwear for those looking for comfort.
