Mumbai: J&K State Road Transport Corporation has selected Ashok Leyland's Stag buses for the Srinagar — Muzaffarabad bus service along the 170km route on what used to be earlier called the Jhelum Valley Cart Road.

According to corporation officials, "J&KSRTC has chosen the Stag buses since they are suited to the terrain while ensuring excellent passenger comfort during the five hour-long journey." The Stag buses are air-conditioned (with heating provision) and have 19 push back luxury seats. Each bus is seven meters long, and offers excellent manoeuvrability.
