Mumbai: Andale, the provider of automation and data services for online merchants, announced the launch of Andale Research, a product that will facilitate intelligent selling on online marketplaces. Over 10,000 man-hours were invested in the design and development of this product at Andale's Bangalore office. Andale Research is a valuable tool for exporters across the world and in India particularly and will give online exports a tremendous boost.

"One of the key benefits Grameen Bank brought to rural India was to provide farmers with access to pricing information, thereby allowing them to sell more efficiently. To date, Indian exporters to the US and Germany did not always have access to market intelligence for the products they sell. Now with Andale Research, exporters in India can have the market transparency they need to sell more efficiently. I believe this will facilitate and hopefully increase Indian exports." said Munjal Shah, CEO of Andale.

Andale Research provides sellers with information on pricing, volumes, success rate graphs, measures of demand, category trends, and other key metrics. To deliver these reports, Andale Research analyzes over 624 million items sold on the online marketplace eBay, in both the US and Germany. These 624 million items represent almost $22 billion in online sales. Today, there are over 2.2 million items a year sold on eBay which are made in India.

In addition to providing statistics, Andale Research also recommends the best time and day to sell, the best category to place your item in, and the best way to price your item. Offline merchants can use Andale Research to establish a fair market value with other offline or online merchants when conducting transactions. The product has been launched for trading on eBay, and is available at a minimal subscription price of US$ 3.95 per month. Andale plans to extend this service to other online marketplaces, auction sites and storefronts in the next few months to become the research tool for online merchants.
