Kochi: Air Sahara, which is planning to launch its Kochi leg from 6 June 2003, has announced an inaugural offer of Rs 5,000 for travelling from here to Mumbai. The inaugural offer will be for the first 15 days, say Sahara sources.

Though Air Sahara had plans to experiment one of its newly acquired Canadian Regional Jets (CRJs) in this sector, the idea was dropped as all other major players fly Boeings to connect Kochi to Mumbai.

The flight will also offer the passenger a direct access to Delhi as it originates and concludes the operation at the national capital.

According to the flight plan Sahara will operate S2-202 from Delhi to Mumbai. The same aircraft will be flown into Kochi as S2-227. It will fly back to Delhi from Mumbai on its return from Kochi.

Flight details are as follows: S2-202 will leave Delhi at 9.35 am to land at Mumbai at 11.30 am. It will leave for Kochi as S2-227 at 12.40 pm to reach the destination at 2.25 pm. The return flight S2-228 will leave Kochi at 3.05 pm to reach Mumbai at 4.50 pm. It will take off as S2-203 at 5.45 pm from Mumbai to reach Delhi at 7.40 pm.
