Adobe security update warns of multiple security holes in Flash Player, Reader and Acrobat

If the latest from Adobe is anything to go by security does not seem to be Adobe's strong suite. The latest security bulleting from the company carries the rather shocking news that its Flash Player, Reader and Acrobat software have a vulnerability that could potentially allow completed control of users' computers by hackers.
It said, the vulnerability is not limited to Microsoft Windows, but cuts across to other operating systems including Mac OS X, Linux, Android and even Solaris.
The vulnerability affects Adobe Flash Player 10.1.85.3 for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and Solaris while on Android, Adobe Flash Player 10.1.95.2 and earlier versions are affected.
On Windows, OS X and UNIX systems, all versions of Adobe 9x are affected, while all versions of Adobe Acrobat 9.x are affected on Windows and Macintosh machines.
In other words if users run any of the versions of Adobe Flash, Reader or Acrobat that have come out in the last few years they may be in trouble.
Adobe is also finalising a fix for Flash Player 10.x for Windows, Mac OS X, Linux and Android users but it will be only released on 9 November and for Adobe Reader and Acrobat, it will take another week till 15 November.
