Cheaper desktop from Acer India

Chennai: Continuing on its strategy to drive down computer prices, Acer India (Pvt) Ltd has now brought out a desktop priced at Rs 20,999. The system, APSLe-M is a glossy black PC, comprising an AMD Athlon XP 2400 Processor, 128MB RAM, 40GB hard drive, CD ROM and 1.44 FDD. Acer APSLe-M also has a 15" Cathode Ray Tube (CRT) monitor, speakers with sub woofer and a modem.

It comes loaded with Linux-based multimedia, though consumers have the option of upgrading to the Windows operating system at an additional cost. The distributor for the Acer APSLe-M will be Techpacific and Acer will offer certain exclusive and attractive incentives for channel partners. Targeted at the small office and home office segment the machine comes with a one year standard warranty.
