Bangalore: ABB Ltd has launched a new range of wiring accessories including switches, regulators and sockets for the Indian market.

The company has invested Rs.15 crore towards manufacturing this line of products, said Ravi Uppal , managing director. These products will be rolled out in the four southern States in the first phase of the launch, he added.

With this new product range, ABB aims to tap Rs 800-crore organised household electrical switches and accessories market in the country, a segment that is growing at 12-15 per cent annually.

These new products will be available with ABB's channel partners and customers can book orders over the web. "The introduction of these household distribution electricals and wiring accessories signifies the final interface device between energy and the user as the last but the most vital link in power usage," Uppal said.
