It is official - Apple's "Do Not Disturb" feature which is available for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad on iOS 6 does not work. The talk started at the website MacRumours, with users complaining about the function working ahead of the time that they had set it for.

A user in Japan wrote, that in 2013 he had found that his iOS devices, (iPhone 4 and iPad 2) were showing ''Do Not Disturb'' even though it was outside of the time he had set for them. He added he was not sure if it was due to the new year. He said reloading the devices did not help and the software was up-to-date.

The Do Not Disturb feature allows users to turn off notifications, calls, etc, while they are asleep or during a meeting.

Now Apple seems to have admitted to the problem. The company has asked users to manually turn the feature on and off, detailing the procedure on its support web pages.

Apple's page states: Do Not Disturb scheduling feature will resume normal functionality after January 7, 2013. Before this date, you should manually turn the Do Not Disturb feature on or off.

Meanwhile, according to market buzz, Israeli traffic map app company with its US headquarters on Hamilton Avenue in Palo Alto, is in negotiations with Apple for acquisition.
