ABP appoints Prosenjit Datta as editor, Businessworld

Ananda Bazar Patrika has appointed Prosenjit Datta as the editor of Businessworld, on the resignation of  Jehangir Pocha, who has left to take over editorial responsibilities at INX News, which he acquired along with Vinay Chhajlani, through their media initiative Indi Media Company Pvt Ltd from Indrani Mukerjea and former Star india CEO Peter Mukerjea (See: INX News channel sold)

Datta currently heads the editorial function of ABP web and telecom digital.

Datta was with the features section of The Economic Times. He moved to Business Standard and was there was seven years as the Features Editor with overall responsibility.

In 1999, he joined Businessworld as Senior Editor when it was being revamped to a weekly. He became the Executive Editor in 2000, and handled Businessworld editorial operations till February 2007.
