Akai launches smartphone Connect Book

Akai has launched the Symbian-based smartphone Connect Book in the Indian market at a price of Rs5,795.

The dual SIM handset features a Qwerty keypad, 2.4'' QVGA screen, 3.2 mega pixel camera, integrated Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, Opera mini browser and MSN Messenger for social networking, expandable memory up to 8GB, and comes with a 4GB memory card for free.

Connect Book also features a FM radio and recorder, motion sensor, 3.5mm audio jack and is e-book compatible among other features.

The handset is available across 15,000 retail outlets in the country and Akai plans to ramp up the number to 20,000 outlets in the coming few months.
