Mumbai: In a bid to arrest falling market share and also generate additional revenues in the traditional lean season, which has  already kicked off, embattled state-owned carrier Air India has floated a short-term promotional scheme for the domestic sector. Under the scheme passengers may purchase a ''Silver Pass'' at Rs30,000 to fly economy class to any domestic sector of their choice or a '' Platinum Pass'', at Rs50,000, to travel executive class to any domestic destination.

The period of travel will be valid for ten days only.

The fare is inclusive of taxes.

The Silver and Platinum passes will be available for sale at the offices of Air India and its approved travel agents within India from 15 June to 15 July 2011.

They passes will be valid for travel up to 25 September 2011.

The day of commencement of the journey will be treated as the first day and ten days will be counted from the date of the commencement of the journey for determining travel validity.
